FAQs

common questions from campers

Hammock Sway offers a property for those looking for an off grid private camping experience including: free range camping, RV parking, campsites for groups or Camp along the river.  You don’t pay for a spot.  You pay for peace and quiet.

No.  We don’t have power as we are an off grid facility.  The main cabin does have a solar power setup so power is available for emergencies.  The main cabin also has filtered water pumped from the Rocky River.

Absolutely.  We have fire pits located around the property.  If you camp in a location away from a fire pit, you can still have a private fire, provided you clear an area and create a rock fire ring. Please use your brain when building and maintaining a campfire. All fires must be extinguished before turning in for the night or leaving the campsite.

Yes!  We encourage you to bring your dogs.  We ask that you keep your dogs on a leash for the first 2 hours after arrival.  Use that time to walk the property, perhaps as you find your perfect spot, and let the current dogs get comfortable with your dog so they can eventually all be off leash.  Some restrictions apply and at any point you may be required to keep your dog on a leash. Please pickup after your pets! Bring bags.
