OUR CAMPERS LOVE US
Chris is the absolute BEST!! I have genuinely never felt safer or more welcome. The campsite was gorgeous, literally better than I could have ever anticipated. We had the best weekend, it was magical. We can't wait to go back! I seriously cannot give Chris and his property a higher recommendation. Please choose this host and campsite for your next adventure. Thank you, Chris!
Our stay was incredible! Chris was so nice and very helpful. He went above and beyond to show us around and make sure we knew where everything was and had everything we needed. We enjoyed ourselves. We definitely plan on returning. The property was beautiful and clean. This place is the best!
We couldn't have asked for a better overlanding experience! Chris was incredibly communicative, helpful and welcoming throughout booking and the stay itself. The property was well marked, clean, peaceful and we will ABSOLUTELY be back. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a bit of serenity amongst the trees.
First off big thank you to Chris the host. Chris was waiting for me to personally show me where the site was. The site was beautiful and so peaceful with nothing but perfect. It was very secluded and truly felt like no one was around. I was looking fir privacy and this site was it. Short little walk to the river that even has a swing for your enjoyment. Chris made sure my stay was perfect. Highly recommend.
This was my second time staying at Chris's place. It was just as amazing as the first time. I loved hearing creek while sitting at the camp fire. The best part was my dog getting to be off leash and able to explore. Would definitely recommend to anyone and look forward to returning in the future.
Chris's place was so much fun! The creek provided endless entertainment for the kids, and tranquil vibes for us all. The pine forest behind the camp was also the perfect place for our hammocks and many games of hide and seek. There was a fire ring at the campsite and plenty of soft grassy spots for our tents. We also had some of the fresh eggs in the morning that were delicious. We can't wait to come back.
My husband, our 4 kids, and I loved the river camp. We enjoyed the quiet and beauty all around us. The small hike down was worth the experience. It was a real gem and a wonderful place to explore.
What does Hammock Sway offer?
Hammock Sway offers a property for those looking for an off grid private camping experience including: free range camping, RV parking, campsites for groups or Camp along the river. You don’t pay for a spot. You pay for peace and quiet.
Do you have power or water?
No. We don’t have power as we are an off grid facility. The main cabin does have a solar power setup so power is available for emergencies. The main cabin also has filtered water pumped from the Rocky River.
Can you have campfires?
Absolutely. We have fire pits located around the property. If you camp in a location away from a fire pit, you can still have a private fire, provided you clear an area and create a rock fire ring. Please use your brain when building and maintaining a campfire. All fires must be extinguished before turning in for the night or leaving the campsite.
Are dogs allowed at the campground?
Yes! We encourage you to bring your dogs. We ask that you keep your dogs on a leash for the first 2 hours after arrival. Use that time to walk the property, perhaps as you find your perfect spot, and let the current dogs get comfortable with your dog so they can eventually all be off leash. Some restrictions apply and at any point you may be required to keep your dog on a leash. Please pickup after your pets! Bring bags.
