A. No. We don't have power as we are an off grid facility. The main cabin does have a solar power setup so power is available for emergencies. The main cabin also has filtered water pumped from the Rocky River.
Q. What is the bathroom situation?
A. As of today we are a pee on a bush, poop in a hole facility. However, we are working on an outhouse and shower facility.
Q. Is there a clothing optional or Naturalist camp site
A. Yes. Although the property as a whole is not, The sites are extremely private. So you are free to be you at the River Camp, The Private Pine Forest or the Naturalist site. You can be at the river naked, however you must keep in mind this isn't a nude facility. So have a towel and in the rare situation of seeing other campers, simply cover up. Unless they are also naked.
Q. Can you have campfires?
A. Absolutely. We have fire pits located around the property. If you camp in a location away from a fire pit, you can still have a private fire, provided you clear an area and use your brain. No Fires in the Forest without a rock fire ring!
Q. Are dogs allowed at the campground?
A. Yes! We encourage you to bring your dogs. We will soon have camp areas that are fenced off for off leash camping. Until then we have a policy in place where you keep your dogs on a leash for the first 2 hours. Use that time to walk the property, perhaps as you find your perfect spot, and let the current dogs get comfortable with your dog so they can eventually all be off leash. Some restrictions apply and at any point you may be required to keep your dog on a leash.
Pick up after your pet. Bring bags!
Q. What is a Private Campground?
A. This property is privately owned and there is room for you to camp in privacy. We have several areas located on 40 acres. There are locations around that are perfect for individuals or groups to camp in privacy. Allowing you to be free and one with nature, without the constant sounds and intrusions from a typical campground.
